This website provides information and support for people living and wanting to live in co-operative communities and other intentional communities in Australia.
These include ecovillages, cohousing communities, residential land trusts, communes, student co-ops, urban housing cooperatives, alternative communities and other situations where people live together with a common vision.
Here you will find resources for starting a community, finding a community home, living in community, and creating more community in your life.
Commonground Festival will be held November 16-18 on the co-operative's 95 acres of rejuvenated bushland near Tallarook, one hour north of Melbourne.
The festival is "about working together to make the world a better place and having one heck of a good time along the way," according to organiser Carl Freeman.
Themes of the festival are community, music, workshops, food and nature.
The bands will include Dallas Frasca, Sugar Fed Leopards, The Dean, The Seven Ups, Eight Foot Felix, Deep Street Soul and Quantum Milkshake.
Koori Culture also forms part of the festival, with the Taungurung Clans Aboriginal Corporation incorporated in the festival.
Gates open at 12pm on Friday, November 16. Music and workshops will continue through to 3pm on Sunday, November 18.
Tickets includes camping for three days and two nights and numbers will be limited to 500. Children under the age of 15 are free when accompanied by a ticket holding adult. A concession ticket is available for concession card holders or locals who will not be camping.
